1. 10 Tools to Help You Better Retarget Your Customers

Retargeting can be big business if done correctly but sometimes it can be hard to know what tools to use. This article from the Huffington post provides you with a break down of some very useful tools to help you get going. If you are already going then you will be able to streamline your process.

Also known as re-marketing, this technique has businesses placing a cookie on the browser of each customer who visits, which then allows the site owner to continue to deliver ads based on that person’s website interactions. This goes beyond boosting sales, allowing you to continue to remind customers of your brand.

2. ‘Way too little, way too late’: Facebook’s fact checkers say effort is failing

Although not directly helping push your business forward, this article by TheGuardian.Com is very interesting indeed. Is Facebook doing what they should to help transparency with their marketing? Check it out and you decide.

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/nov/13/way-too-little-way-too-late-facebooks-fact-checkers-say-effort-is-failingJournalists working for Facebook say the social media site’s fact-checking tools have largely failed and that the company has exploited their labor for a PR campaign. Several fact checkers who work for independent news organizations and partner with Facebook told the Guardian that they feared their relationships with the technology corporation, some of which are paid, have created a conflict of interest, making it harder for the news outlets to scrutinize and criticize Facebook’s role in spreading misinformation. The reporters also lamented that Facebook had refused to disclose data on its efforts to stop the dissemination of fake news.

3. Just be more real: Backlash against social media

Keeping it real used to be something the young did but now we are being exposed by our viewers is we are not doing it. Here we have SMH.Com.Au explaining how consumers are able to see if you are faking your social marketing messages or not. Essentially we should all be keeping to the 80/20rule of content and promotion but is the content you are providing being accepted by your viewers?

http://www.smh.com.au/national/just-be-more-real-backlash-against-social-media-20171110-gzinli.htmlNobody had an ideal life, she said, even those that seemed so on the surface. Ms Gibbs tries to post images of herself that reflect how she is feeling, sometimes sick or acknowledging the chronic fatigue syndrome that afflicts her. About 15 per cent of teenagers say they are contacted by strangers daily via Facebook, yet the majority of adults do not monitor their children’s social media activity, found the Social Me study by the Australian Psychological Society. Scarier though for any parent is the finding that 10 per cent of teenagers had communicated or responded to strangers daily.

Blockchains! I am fascinated yet confused by them. They are an exciting prospect for the future but how exactly can they be used in marketing? In this fascinating article, Entrepreneur.Com explain exactly that and why we should be starting to take notice of it now.

https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/304654And, according to market research company Forrester, digital marketing expenditures in the United States are on pace to reach levels near $120 billion by 2021.
